Hi ECFers, Chinese new year is coming!!!! excited??? i remember back in Hong Kong, the atmosphere was really great..Coz back there, chinese makes up the majority, and the chinese new year was considered the long vacation winter break for the students in Hong Kong. We used to have at least 15 days of holidays back there... Its a time of celebration...
For these few weeks, we will be praying for places with a majority of Chinese...

Prayer points:
-For one branch of Buddhists, salvation lies in good deeds. Pray that the people will know that Christ is the way, the Truth and the Life
-Folk religion is a prominent phenomenon in Hong Kong. Pray that the Chinese Christians will repent for their own former involvement, and confess the sins of their forefathers in folk religion practives. Pray for a clear witness of the truth.
-Ancetor worship is the chinese way of expressing filial piety beyond the grave. Pray that ancestor worshippers come to know Christ as the only source of all blessings, and know that in Christ there is life after death.

thanks for praying for my homeland. on top of that, i think we can pray that God will raise up more missionaries from Hong Kong, into the mainland China. Coz being a S.A.R, Hong Kong has much more religious freedom as compared to the mainland, and it is more convenient for Hong Kong residents to entered China, as compared to other nationalities which requires Visas etc. thanks...God bless...
